The healing at the pool of Bethesda occurred because the healing waters began to move. You can move those waters right now and put yourself in.

John 5:1-9
“After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”

Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.”

This was a pool of water. The sick CAME to this pool to watch and wait for the moving of the waters. Where are the waters of God today? They are inside the body of the born again believer.

John 4:14
“but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.””

John 7:38
“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

We do not have to travel to the healing waters of God – THEY ARE INSIDE US.

This story and or account is shocking. Jesus is walking around. The sick are everywhere. A MULTITUDE OF SICK WERE THERE. Yet He kept walking around. He found one guy. Then he had the audacity to ask the PARALYZED GUY, “Do you want to be made well?” Seriously Jesus? But – Jesus walked as a man anointed by the spirit of god. Jesus serves a good God – God would never force anyone to do anything.

This man answered. “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”

So i guess that was a, “yes i want to be healed”. Interesting – three steps of faith are already in progress. THE GUY CAME TO THE WATERS and WATCHED THE WATERS IN FAITH and then when they started to move HE WAS WILLING TO HAVE SOMEONE PUT HIM IN THE WATER EVENTHOUGH HE WAS PARALYZED AND COULD DROWN.

You as a born again believer have only to speak the word and follow the voice of the Holy Spirit – and you will HAVE PUT YOURSELF INTO THE MIDST OF THE HEALING WATERS THAT ARE EMANATING 24 HOURS A DAY.

Jesus said, “Take up your bed and walk” – oh – and he did.

Right there Jesus showed that man, that multitude, AND US – THAT WE DONT HAVE TO WAIT – JESUS IS THE MOVING WATERS!!! JESUS IS THE MOVING WATERS AND THE MOVING WATERS CAME TO THIS MAN. JESUS IS THE ULTIMATE MOBILE HOSPITAL!! JESUS CAME TO THIS MAN – IT WAS A LESSON FOR EVERYBODY.

AFTER THE NEW BIRTH – HE NOT ONLY COMES TO US – HE LIVES IN US!!!
HE IS THE RIVER OF LIFE – PURE LIFE – THAT LIVES IN US VIA THE HOLY GHOST!!!

And so like the waters that waited to be stirred at Bethesda – so the waters must be stirred in you. You might say – well if Jesus is a RIVER and Jesus is a FOUNTAIN in me – where are the water works. Well Jesus made it very clear how to get the waterworks moving – BELIEVE!! SAY WITH YOUR MOUTH – NO MATTER WHAT YOU SEE OR DONT SEE – SAY WITH YOUR MOUTH WHAT YOU BELIEVE – AND THEN STAND BACK. UP FROM YOUR BELLY WILL COME THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN RESPONSE TO YOUR WORDS. AS A POWERFUL UNSTOPPABLE RIVER THAT CHANGES THE LANDSCAPE OF YOUR BODY FOREVER. AS A FOUNTAIN – MORE SURELY THAN OL FAITHFUL THE GEYSER! LIKE A FIRE HOSE – SICKNESS, WEAKNESS AND DISEASE IS BLASTED AWAY! LIKE NAAMAN AND HIS DIPPING IN THE JORDAN – NEW FLESH IS CREATED. THIS GUY WAS PARALYZED AND THE POOL WASHED AWAY HIS PARALYSIS.

YEP – let that river of life MOVE IN YOU. IT IS A RIVER OF LIFE – LIFE EVERLASTING!!!
